Roma have reportedly scheduled to discuss new terms with Lorenzo Pellegrini after the current campaign.
Sky Sport Italia reports the Giallorossi sporting director Tiago Pinto will meet with Pellegrini at the end of the season, to continue the renewal negotiations.
There’s a common will to move forward together, but La Lupa are currently focused on their tasks in Serie A and the Europa League.
Pellegrini’s contract expires in June 2022, but Tiago Pinto has scheduled a meeting with agent Giampiero Pocetta.
The broadcaster reveals the two parties have met twice already and they have confirmed the common will to continue together.
“[Pellegrini] embodies the Roma project,” Pinto previously said. “He’s young, talented and deeply attached to Roma.
“We will do everything possible to renew the contract.”
The 24-year-old has been given the armband after Edin Dzeko was stripped of the captaincy this year and has played 25 times in Serie A this term.
The Italy international has contributed four goals and six assists in the process and has established himself as a central piece in Paulo Fonseca’s team.
