Roma deny reports of a dressing room bust-up between the players and coach Paulo Fonseca after their 2-2 draw against Sassuolo.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Fonseca and Tiago Pinto spoke to the team during yesterday’s training session, but some replied harshly.
Roma, however, denied the report with a statement published by ANSA.
“Roma categorically deny reports related to episodes of tension in the locker room,” the statement reads.
“There was no discussion before the session, but the will of the club is to continue to fight on both fronts: league and Europa League.”
The Giallorossi were held to a 2-2 away draw against Sassuolo on Saturday and sit seventh in the Serie A table, one point behind their city rivals Lazio.
They face Ajax away in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals on Wednesday.
