Reports are rapidly gathering steam that Maurizio Sarri will take over at Roma next season, but Max Allegri won’t go to Bayern Munich.
The transfer market is in full swing already when it comes to coaches in both Italy and Europe.
The Corriere dello Sport already suggested this morning that Sarri was in advanced negotiations with the Giallorossi.
Now Sportitalia, the Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttomercatoweb all report the talks with Sarri are progressing rapidly.
Paulo Fonseca is set for the exit, regardless of whether he manages to get past Manchester United in the Europa League semi-final.
Sarri is still technically under contract with Juventus a year after he was fired, but the negotiations to terminate by mutual consent should not be too much of an issue.
Allegri had been linked with the Roma role too, but above all Bayern Munich, after Hansi Flick announced his departure.
According to Sport1 and Sky Sports Germany, Bayern Munich are prepared to pay the €20m penalty to buy Julian Nagelsmann out of his contract with RB Leipzig.
They have already agreed terms with the tactician.
