Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has reportedly booked a private flight, prepared to quickly complete a move to Roma tonight.
Il Corriere dello Sport reveals the former England international prepares for a return to the Italian capital and waits for news on the negotiation between the Giallorossi and the Red Devils.
His agent James Featherstone has reportedly arrived in the Italian capital this morning and has arranged for Smalling to travel as soon as the two clubs untie the knot blocking the operation.
The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at the Olimpico and returned to Manchester after the conclusion of Serie A 2019-20.
Smalling played 30 Serie A matches for Roma, who have been negotiating with United since Smalling left in August.
