Rangnick: ‘I’m not in Roma talks’

Roma are still searching for their next sporting director, but Ralf Rangnick has ruled himself out. ‘I want to fight for titles immediately’.

The former Red Bull director wants a return to football but has told El Pais he is not interested in a role at the Giallorossi.

“I’m not in talks with Roma. I can’t picture myself at that club right now,” he said. “My last 14 years, between Hoffenheim and Leipzig, have shown that I’m in my best moment.

“I achieve the best results when I can be a club developer as well as a simple coach. My intention is to work for a traditional club, whether in Germany or England.

“But I also see myself as the manager of an ambitious club that can fight to win titles straight away.”
