There was mixed news for Roma, as while Pau Lopez had surgery on his shoulder, Chris Smalling’s injury is not serious.
The Giallorossi announced that goalkeeper Pau Lopez went under the knife this morning to complete the operation on his left shoulder.
It was dislocated during the first leg of the Europa League semi-final against Manchester United on April 29.
Although no timeframe has been given, it’s reported he will be out of action for three months.
Meanwhile, there is better news for Smalling, as tests showed no lesion to the thigh or groin for the defender.
He had limped off during the second leg of that tie on Thursday.
