The Lega has issued a press release with all the initiatives to remember and pay tribute to Paolo Rossi in Serie A Week 11.
This weekend will be dedicated to Paolo Rossi, who died at 64 on Wednesday, and the Lega Serie A and all the clubs will pay tribute to the former Italy international through a series of initiatives during the next round of fixtures.
Black armband: All the players will take to the pitch wearing a black armband on the left arm.
A minute’s silence: Before kick-off of each match, a minute of silence will be observed by the players and match officials, lined up around the circle in the centre of the pitch.
Image on the big screen and in the midfield circle: During the minute of silence, a commemorative image of Paolo Rossi will be projected on the giant screens of the stadiums.
And during the minute of recollection, a virtualisation of the midfield circle will be created and will show an image of the champion.
Commemorative audio clip: At the end of the minute’s silence, a historical audio clip will be broadcast inside each system that will recall the exploits of Paolo Rossi at the 1982 World Cup.
