Inzaghi: ‘We hope Roma aren’t too fit’

Benevento coach Filippo Inzaghi said he hopes the newly promoted side will meet a Roma that ‘aren’t too fit’ when they arrive at the Olimpico.

The Streghe are preparing for their second away game in Serie A Week 4 and have started the new season with two wins in three games.

Inzaghi has Andres Tello back in contention and said the players returning from international duty should be fine to play against the Giallorossi.

“They will play as long as they are fine,” Inzaghi said, according to SportItalia. “Physically, the team always work the way I want.

“I’m very satisfied by the mentality of this group. The complicated moments will arrive, but I’m calm.”

Inzaghi said he expects his players to give their all to make life hard for Roma in the Italian capital.

But he hopes his players will not be faced by playing against the great players at La Lupa, having already suffered a 5-2 defeat to Scudetto chasers Inter this term.

“We ask for a lot because we know that we must run more than our opponents to reduce the technical gap on Sunday,” Inzaghi said. “I wouldn’t like my players to be affected by their presence.

“Plus, we hope that Roma aren’t too fit…”
