Giroud spoke to Juve, Roma and Milan

The intermediary working with free agent Olivier Giroud confirms he ‘spoke to Milan, Juventus and Roma’ in January, while he is now ‘evaluating offers from England, Spain and Germany.’

The 34-year-old’s contract with Chelsea will expire on June 30, although the possibility of signing another extension in London is not entirely out of the question.

He scored 11 goals in 30 competitive games for the Blues this season.

“In January there was the possibility of bringing Giroud to Serie A,” intermediary Vincenzo Morabito told Calciomercato.com.

“We had spoken to Juventus and Roma, when Edin Dzeko was seemingly going to Inter. Now his agent is evaluating various different offers. There are three from English clubs, but also some interesting situations in Spain and Germany.”

Mirabito also reveals there were negotiations with another club in Italy, who could well still be interested.

“At the end of the January window, we met with Milan. The Rossoneri confirmed their interest in Giroud, but also told us they were evaluating younger profiles for their attack. That’s the last we heard from them, we’ll see for the future.”

Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews.it also states Giroud is a candidate for Milan, who want a similarly-experienced figure to rotate with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swede just signed a new contract, but had to pull out of Euro 2020 with a knee injury.
