Roma boss Paulo Fonseca has confirmed Edin Dzeko will play a few minutes against Cluj in Europa League and admits he could switch to a four-man defence.
Roma are travelling to Romania where the will face the locals in a Europa League clash tomorrow evening.
Paulo Fonseca spoke to Sky Sport before the flight.
“Our target is to win the game, it’s going to be an important and tough match but we want the three points.”
The Portuguese tactician admitted he could make some tactical changes and revealed Edin Dzeko will play a few minutes after recovering from COVID.
“A four-man defence is a possibility. We are missing some central defenders, Riccardo Calafiori will play.”
Chris Smalling and Roger Ibanez have been left out of Roma’s squad list with injuries, Federico Fazio is also out of action but has reportedly recovered from COVID.
“Dzeko trained alone with great intensity for two days. He never stopped when he was forced home. I think he will play a few minutes and then we’ll see what to do against Napoli.”
