Stephan El Shaarawy has been given the all-clear to leave Shanghai Shanghua on loan, with Roma, PSG, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid options.
The report emerged in France last night via Telefoot, suggesting El Shaarawy was a low-cost option for Paris Saint-Germain.
Now Sky Sport Italia confirm the Italy international will be allowed to move back to Europe on loan until at least January, with the possibility of extending it ahead of the rescheduled Euro 2020.
In Gianluca Di Marzio’s version of events, PSG are certainly interested, as are Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.
However, El Shaarawy’s preference would be a return to Roma, the side he left for €16m just over a year ago.
The former Genoa and Milan talent is nicknamed ‘The Little Pharaoh,’ as his father is Egyptian.
He turns 28 next month and has 25 senior Italy caps.
