Roma forward Edin Dzeko announced he has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Bosnia international gave Paulo Fonseca some bad news after confirming he tested positive to the latest round of swabs carried out at the Giallorossi.
“Hello everyone,” he wrote on Instagram. “Unfortunately I’m positive for COVID-19 and as you know, I must respect the quarantine period.
“I want to reassure everyone who knows me, that luckily I have no particular symptoms.
“For a few days I will be forced to stay away from my teammates, but with my mind and heart I will stay with them, starting on Sunday. Come on Roma!”
Dzeko will therefore miss the match against Genoa ahead of the upcoming national break and won’t be able to travel to captain his country this month.
