The reports are growing that Napoli and Roma have agreed terms for Arkadiusz Milik for €25m, but the striker is still holding out hope for Juventus, although the Bianconeri prefer Edin Dzeko.
Multiple sources in Italy this evening all had the same story, that Roma had finally agreed a deal with Napoli for Milik.
Sky Sport Italia provide further details, as the €25m is spread out to €3m for a loan, €15m obligation to buy at the end of the season and another €7m in very easy to achieve bonuses.
The 26-year-old player has been offered a five-year contract worth €4.5m per season.
However, Sky Sport Italia and others also make it clear Milik has not yet accepted.
The Poland international had his heart set on Juventus, which is why he initially refused to extend his Napoli contract.
All three clubs are now going to push Milik to accept, because Roma cannot sell 34-year-old Dzeko until they have secured his signature, and Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo put Dzeko at the top of his wish-list.
Sportitalia maintain Milik is leaning towards agreeing the move to the Stadio Olimpico.
If the domino effect gets going, it’s still possible that Juve will sign Luis Suarez from Barcelona for a nominal fee, but not until later in the transfer window.
