Highlights: Roma 1-2 Milan

There were three goals at the Olimpico, but dozens of chances, several disallowed strikes, the crossbar rattled, great saves and penalty appeals too.

It was an absolute thriller between two teams who drew 3-3 at San Siro earlier this season and it could easily have been a similar outcome here.

Simon Kjaer’s header bounced off the bar before Henrikh Mkhitaryan sailed a lob wide, but Federico Fazio trod on Davide Calabria’s foot for a penalty, converted by Franck Kessie.

Jordan Veretout’s right-foot curler got Roma on level terms, but Pau Lopez paid for an error playing out from the back and Ante Rebic left Gianluca Mancini stranded with a wonderful turn.
