Javier Pastore was left out of Roma’s Europa League squad, but his agent assures he’s ‘fit’ and not in talks to terminate his contract.
The 31-year-old Argentine has barely featured for the Giallorossi in recent months and was surprisingly left out of the Europa League squad entirely.
He had been pushed towards accepting a transfer this summer, but did not agree terms.
LaRoma24.it therefore contacted agent Marcelo Simonian to ask if he was negotiating an early contract termination.
“No, it’s not true,” was the reply.
“He is fit, he’s ready to play and feels good.”
Pastore’s contract runs to June 2023 after his 2018 arrival from Paris Saint-Germain.
The midfielder made just 15 appearances for Roma last season between Serie A and the Europa League.
